Don’t ponder much, it’s nothing but the really hot yummy tiny mini IDLIES available at the prestigious Anna University (CEG) Canteen in Guindy,Chennai. “Wow, what a heavenly experience” – perfectly quoted by most CEGians on their love for this delicious replenishment. You may think of it like any other usual mini idly, but what makes it so special? Some point out the overflowing savory ghee on it, some go with the soft texture of those tiny things, even some opt the garnishing of the coriander leaves but for foodies like me, I love the overall experience of dipping those tiny balls (such cute stuff :p) in the ultimate tasty sambhar and those filled with delicious ghee and evenly topped with coriander leaves.

None can imagine of such an awesome venture in just Rs.8/- the awe thing which surprises the outsiders and draws them to the canteen instantly. Ms.Queen on a date….!

“Not all the days favor you; you ought to face some kind of weird stuff someday”. One such embarrassing moment happened with me, when I was awaiting for the D-Day in my life. I could not bear the fact that I had completely ruined that precious day but on the contrary, it was also the most memorable day. Baffled right?....My boyfriend was the savior at that life-saving moment. Yes, I am a girl with all the usual romantic dreams to hitch with my boyfriend with both of our parents’ consent. And one fine day, the day arrived to impress his parents on their wedding anniversary party. This was the most perfect moment to win their hearts and I was fully prepared for it. I had a very fine reason to wave my magic wand on my future mother-in-law. Luckily, she was so much in love with cakes wherein I was a cake expert. Matching wavelength Yayee! ….I literally jumped off when my man told me his mother’s fond for cakes.

“Mission to be executed” ran off quickly in my mind to make what type of cake and surprise her at the best. I quickly peeped in my recipe notes to choose the picture-perfect one, the one which would steal the show. Finally, I fixed on ‘Strawberry dream sundae’, strawberry being her favorite flavor. The clock ticked at 5 and I was waiting for him to pick me up. For a moment, my future husband got freezed and poured in a rain of compliments on seeing my angelic dress to grace the evening. I was overwhelmed by his gesture and was of course in a dream state…(PS: I was the one carrying the special cake!).As we were nearing the place, my man staggered to force on the breaks and in a jiffy, Ms.Strawberry queen was out of my hands! Before regaining my senses, the whole thing went off ruined. The cake was floating in the gutter below and I was in a complete shock!

On seeing my worried face, my man, in his usual humour,”I guess Ms.Strawberry Queen went on a date with her boyfriend”…that’s why she fled like a jet..OMG!” He realized that I was not able to enjoy his humour rather wanted to find a quick remedy for this unexpected trauma. He gave in a pretty good smile saying,”Oh poor! Please don’t worry my sweetheart. I will help you out”. With usual panicking heartbeat, I approached my future in-laws but they were really adorable people, feeling proud on my elegance and beauty and constantly flattered about me in front of the arrived guests. He whispered something to his mom and dragged me into the kitchen all of a sudden. He went on to continue in his sweet smile,”Are you ready to make the same ‘Chocolate cake ‘which we made during our date?” In a complete surprise, I was yelling, “Are you serious?”. He pacified me saying, “I am sure the cake will be ready almost soon if we both make together and my mom agreed to this! What a romantic idea Indeed!” Come on; let’s give her the best treat”! We started off instantly and ended up making one of the finest cakes by which my mother-in- law as well as others appreciated the love and understanding between us and blessed for our togetherness forever”. On a final note, though the day was intended to be worse, my man was beside me no matter what and the day turned into romantic embracing each other! My instinct echoed,”Ms.Queen betrayed me and flew away with her boyfriend in order to enlighten the bond between us”. The chocolate king rested on the palatable dishes in pride winking at me.

அணையா விளக்கு

நம் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையில் நிறைய தருணங்கள் வந்து போகும்!அதில் ஒரு சில அழகான நிகழ்வுகள் நம்மை போட்டு தாக்கும்.அந்த வகையில் எனக்கு சமீபத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த மறக்க முடியாத ஓர் அற்புதம் இதோ!

 வேளை நிமித்தமாக என் அம்மாவின் நீண்ட கால தோழி வீட்டிற்கு போயிருந்தேன்.வழக்கமான உரையாடல் நடுவே, அவரின் மகள் கோபமாக வந்து, "மா..! பேப்பர் எடுத்து வச்சியா..இல்லையா? எல்லா இடத்துலயும் பார்த்துட்டேன்..எங்கேயும் காணும்.ஏன் மா இப்படி பண்ற" என்று பொங்கி எழுந்தாள். அவள் கோபத்தை குறைக்க "ஏதோ சாக்கு சொல்லிவிட்டு,இதோ வரேன்" என்று சமையலறைக்குள் புகுந்தார்.(என்னை உபசரிக்க தான் போனாங்க !) கோபமாக இருந்த அவர் மகளை அமைதிபடுத்தி,பொறுமையாக பேச்சுக் கொடுத்தேன், அவள் எட்டாவது படிக்கிறாள் என தெரிந்தது.தன் பக்க நியாயத்தை சுட்டிக்காட்டி,"தினம் வர பேப்பர கூட ஒழங்கா எடுத்து வைக்க தெரில அக்கா..என் அம்மாக்கு". ஒரு பேப்பருக்காக இவ்வளவு கோவமா? என நான் கேட்க, அவள் மௌனமாக என்னை பார்த்துவிட்டு, "அது வெறும் பேப்பர் இல்ல ,என் கனவு" என்றாள்.
புரியாமல் நான் முழிக்க, என்னிடம் அவள் தன் விளக்கத்தை கூற ஆர்வமானாள்."பேப்பர்ல என் தோனி போட்டோ வரும், அதுவும் இப்போ உலக கோப்பை நடக்குதுல, அதுனால அவர் பற்றின ஏராளமான செய்தி, போட்டோ எல்லாம் வரும். எல்லாத்தையும் சேகரித்து வைக்கிறேன். எனக்கு அவரை ரொம்ப பிடிக்கும்.எந்த அளவு என சொல்ற அளவுக்கு வார்த்தையே இல்லை,எல்லாத்துக்கும் மேல" என்று கண்கள் மிளிர,என்னை அவள் அறைக்குள் இழுத்துச்சென்றாள். "வாங்க அக்கா, எல்லாத்தையும் பாருங்க" என்றாள்.

அவள் அறை முழுதும் உள்ள சுவர்களில்,கிரிக்கெட்வீரர் தோனி நிரம்பி வழிந்தார்.தான் சேகரித்து வைத்துள்ள அனைத்தையும் என்னிடம் பெருமையாக காட்டினாள். 'உயிரினும் மேலான விசிறி' என சொல்வார்களே,அது  இது தானோ என்று நினைத்துக்கொண்டேன்."இவ்வளவு பைத்தியமா இவர் மேல,எப்படி இவ்ளோ..?" என இழுத்தேன்.எதையோ சாதித்து விட்டதாக நினைத்துக்கொண்டு,மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்க என் அருகே வந்து, "எப்போமே அவர் மேல எனக்கு தனி மரியாதை உண்டு, அதுவும் 2011 ஆம் ஆண்டின்  உலக கோப்பை வென்றதுக்கு அப்புறம் தீவிர ரசிகையா மாறிவிட்டேன்".கடந்த ஆண்டு என் அப்பா இறந்ததுக்கு பின்,இந்த அன்பின் தாக்கம் எல்லாத்தையும் மீறி திடமா நிக்குது.என் அப்பா அச்சு அசலா இவர் மாதிரிதான்.
ரொம்ப அமைதி, அதிகமா பேசமாட்டார்.இராணுவத்துல இருந்தார்.எப்போமே அவருக்கு நாடு தான் முக்கியம்,என் கூட பேச நேரமே இருக்காது.ஆனா அவருக்கு கிடைக்குற நேரத்துல என்ன உயிருக்கு உயிரா நல்லா பார்த்துப்பார்.தோனி கூட, நாட்டுக்காக தன் சொந்த குழந்தையின் முகத்தை கூட பார்க்காம இருக்காரு.அப்பா எங்கேயும் போல,இங்க தான் இருக்காரு, தோனி வடிவத்துல.அவரோட உன்னதமான பாதையை தான் நான் ஃபாலோ(பின்பற்றி)பண்றேன்.இதை வெளிய யார்கிட்டயாவது சொன்னா,என்னை பைத்தியம்னு நினைச்சுப்பாங்க. அம்மா மட்டும் என்னை ஆறுதல்படுத்தி,"வாழ்க்கையே இருண்டு போயிடுச்சுனு நினைச்சேன்,ஆனா இல்லை என் மகராணி நீ தான் என் அணையா விளக்கு" என சொன்னாங்க.என்னுடைய வழிகாட்டி தோனி தான் இருக்காரே,அவரை மாதிரியே எல்லோரும் போற்றும்படி சாதிப்பேன்.

இது எல்லாத்துக்கும் நடுவுல,எப்படியாவது என் தோனியை பார்க்கனும், பார்த்து நிறைய பேசனும்."அது தான் என் வாழ்க்கையின் மிக சந்தொஷமான,மறக்க முடியாத நாள், அந்த நாள் விரைவில் வர வேண்டிகிட்டு இருக்கேன்."  என உணர்ச்சி பொங்க கூறி முடித்தாள்.என் கண்களை எட்டிபார்த்த சில துளிகளை துடைத்துக்கொண்டு,"கண்டிப்பா அவரை நீ சந்திப்ப,எனக்கு நம்பிக்கை இருக்குமா ! உன்ன நினைத்து அவர் பெருமை படுவார்" என சொல்லிக்கொண்டு கனத்த மனதுடன் அங்கிருந்து விடைப்பெற்றேன்.

Your Future

                                       

The same old story continues again with the recent announcement of board exam results. Parents and students are fully geared up with their mark sheets, re-evaluation process, counselling schedule, hunt for better colleges and so on. Nothing has been changed so far in the overall education system. The usual process kicks off as soon as the results are opened up. This critical phase in everyone's life has dealt with lot of exciting and sobbing moments , achievers extremely joyous and curious to venture out their well deserving course and the best college environment, while some regret for not scoring well, yet find a way out to establish themselves in a better way and another pack of teens become depressed to the core and won't try to progress at all rather vile away their precious time. This period of life is always meant to be life-deciding as it paves way to decide our future career and if the decision is right, our bright future is crystal clear. But on the contrary, if we commit errors then we are ought to experience the seed sown by us. The ultimate mantra of this section of life - "Pursue what your heart says, if you have won or even lost in your board exams". It may sound a bit puzzling , but the fact lies here. Those who pursue listening to their hearts have emerged as successful personalities hence it's always wise to act accordingly. Lots of students have been put into the mere pressure of the parents or others and they opt some x or y course which they don't prefer but accept for their surroundings and they always had a bitter life, without any satisfied happiness in their life. Those who follow and widely chase their chosen dreams will remain happy and contented. Hence, students must be very careful in deciding the course or college, not fall as a prey for anyone, but summon in front of God with whole heart and seek your right choice of career. "Choose wise, act wise, your life will be the best as you expect". 

                                                      CHILD LABOUR ERADICATION 

"CHILD" - The greatest and the most wonderful gift of GOD. Is the child being adored and admired in the same way as he/she is meant to be. The answer is undoubtedly a "NO". While enjoying the complete beauty of children on one side, the other side awaits us a sector of children community who can't afford to satisfy even their hunger. Why such situation still prevails ? Who is responsible for such an acute thing? It's not wise to blame anyone, rather we should take an effective step to abolish the corroding evil, the so-called"CHILD LABOUR" completely from our society. There are so many NGO organizations available to wipe out the tears of million children , still this problem remains a "far cry". We, the citizens of INDIA, Should take up some reliable initiative to sort out the problem and bring up a fruitful solution. A small help can create a vast transformation in their lives. "LIGHT UP, YU WILL BE LIT UP ".
PS: Recently, Govt .has created awareness on child helpline number 1098. Lot of schemes and subsidiaries are put forth by the Government. Awareness should be created by every citizen in every nook and corner of the country. 

My own astounding Thoughts ....

            I keep wondering about dreams since my presence in this world. What are dreams all about ? Do they have something to do with our thoughts? Some believe in the fact that dreams are a gateway for the prediction of future. They have a staunch belief that whatever has been in dreams is ought to happen.People dream only about the things that's gonna happen. But after a clear ,wider perspective and a  thorough understanding of the compatibility of dreams and thoughts , I came to a conclusion that dreams  dwell in our thoughts, They are born in our own thoughts and memories, They survive in our thoughts, They are nothing but the mirror reflection of purely our thoughts. People dream about their own deep thoughts and feelings which is being related in their dreams. So what's the point in beating about the bush when we are mature enough to handle even the deadliest of the deadliest dreams.?  So from now on, if someone confesses to you about their dreams and perplex you and create agony regarding the consequences of the dreams, beware that it's just the outcome of their silly thoughts and emotions. You can easily surpass any kind of malevolent  dreams with ease.
